Auf der einen Seite Tiefkühlkost, die zum Kochen aufgetaut werden muss, und auf der anderen Seite ein Kühlschrank, der eigentlich nur auf Kälte wartet, um seine Arbeit zu vollbringen.
Die Gleichung ist also ganz einfach.
Anstatt die Speisen in der Mikrowelle aufzutauen oder eine andere energieintensive Wärmequelle zu nutzen, ist es besser vorzubeugen, sie am Vortag aus dem Gefrierschrank zu nehmen und im Kühlschrank auftauen zu lassen. Es wird nicht nur keine Energie benötigt, um das Essen aufzutauen, sondern der Kühlschrank kann es von seiner überschüssigen Kälte befreien, diese nutzen und weniger Energie verbrauchen.
Eine klassische Win-Win-Situation also.
