Heizen mit Holz
Am Ende des Jahres denken wir alle an das idyllische und vielleicht ein wenig veraltete Bild einer Familie, die sich um einen schön geschmückten Weihnachtsbaum und ein sanftes im Kamin knisterndes Feuer versammelt.
Wenn das nicht das Bild von Komfort und ultimativem Familienglück ist, was ist es dann?
Aber ist eine Holzheizung für den Planeten gut oder schlecht?
Wenn wir von einem offenen Feuer sprechen, ist die Antwort eindeutig nein, weil die Leistung so katastrophal ist. Bei einem offenen Feuer werden nur 10 bis 15% des Energieinhalts eines Holzscheits zur Raumheizung genutzt, wobei der größte Teil durch den Schornstein als heißer Qualm verloren geht.
Wenn wir nun von einem Einsatz in einem geschlossenen Ofen ausgehen, sei es eine mit Holz/Pellets befeuerte Zentralheizung oder eine klassischer Holzofen, die wesentlich höhere Wirkungsgrade aufweisen, sieht die Antwort ganz anders aus.
In diesen Fällen ist das Heizen mit Holz oft viel besser für den Planeten als das Heizen mit Gas oder Öl. Holz ist nicht nur eine erneuerbare Energiequelle, sondern die Bäume binden und sammeln in ihren Stämmen und Ästen CO2 an und ermöglichen so eine neutrale CO2-Bilanz. Mit anderen Worten, das bei der Verbrennung von Holz freigesetzte CO2 entspricht dem CO2, das der Baum der Atmosphäre während seines Wachstums entzogen hat.
Außerdem ist Holz ein einheimischer Brennstoff, der in der Wallonie und in unseren Gegenden vorhanden ist und zusätzlich mit kurzen Transportwegen punkten kann.
Holz ist dabei die billigste Energie, mit einem nur zehr wenig schwankendem Preis.
Denken Sie daran, wenn Sie Ihren Heizkessel wechseln oder wenn Sie die Installation eines Ofens im Wohnzimmer in Betracht ziehen.
